2026/27 Membership Due
The last Area Finals have now been played and we have another 4 qualifiers for the National Finals at Nottingham in April!
Last Tuesday Jamie & Adam Barker were successful against Danny & Will Walker (Kingsthorpe) in the Family Pairs, securing a 16-14 win.
They now play Liam Reeson (Boston) on Tuesday 14th April.
On Friday we had both the Women’s Triples & Men’s 2 Bowl Singles being played at Kempston Park. Carly Thompson, Rebecca Moorbey & Michelle Coleman beat Hilary Sharpe & co (Kingsthorpe) 16-8 and Hayden Moorbey edged out Will Walker with a 21-16 victory.
The Ladies Triples play Emily Kernick & co (Solihull) on Tuesday 7th April and the Men’s 2 Bowl Singles plays Sam Tolchard (Torquay) on Friday 10th April.
Lastly, Saturday saw our last Area Final – the Women’s 2 Bowl Singles between Rebecca Moorbey and Linda Warren (Northampton). It was a close battle but Rebecca just got over the line with a 21-19 win.
She now plays Yaz Hasan (Egham) on Friday 10th April.
Commiserations to Gerry Brennan and Roly Barker who just missed out on a spot at the National Finals, losing to Mick Spear & Andrew Manton (Kingsthrope) 9-14. A great effort in reaching the later stages of the competition.
